Managing Partner
Joe is the Managing Partner of Nowak & Gehan, CPA PC, where he provides strategic leadership and delivers trusted accounting, tax, and advisory services to individuals and closely held businesses. Since joining the firm in 1998 and becoming a partner in 2006, Joe has earned a reputation for his thoughtful guidance, meticulous attention to detail, and the enduring relationships he builds with clients.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Loyola University Maryland and is an alumnus of Don Bosco Prep High School. He is dedicated to helping clients navigate financial decisions with confidence, clarity, and integrity.
Johanna L Jezek, CPA
Partner
Johanna is an established professional with over 25 years of experience in the industry. She has extensive experience in all areas of tax preparation, and specializes in assisting clients with estate and inheritance filings, including estate tax returns, inheritance tax returns, and estate accountings.
Johanna began her career at a national public accounting firm based in New York City, later transitioning to a midsized local firm. Her background includes conducting financial statement reviews, compilations, and tax compliance work for a diverse clientele, including corporations, individuals, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations.
Johanna joined Nowak & Gehan in 2017 and has served as a partner since 2024.

Georgia Baker, EA
Senior Accountant
Georgia has been a valued member of the firm since 2013. She specializes in bookkeeping, business and individual tax preparation, and process support, bringing a practical, detail-oriented approach to client service.
Prior to her career in accounting, Georgia worked in Human Resources, where she developed her knowledge of employee relations and payroll processes. This background gives her a unique perspective on how financial practices intersect with workforce operations, allowing her to better support clients in aligning their business objectives with their people and processes.
